I wanted to bring together poetry and place by embedding words in landscape. Much of my art making involves walking and exploring boundaries between the digital and the analogue, online and offline, words as performance and as text. I am interested in art as research, art as adventure and the outdoors as art. This brought all this together.
This is dedicated to Francis Alys, who I found recently and has been inspirational to me. walking is a central theme in his work. His work would seem to me, to be a good example of art as experiential outdoor learning. His website link and some of his works are shown below.
