About

My name is Chris Reed. I am an experiential educator with 30+ years of professional work in the UK, EU and USA in a variety of care, developmental and therapeutic settings. I am an HCPC registered Drama and Movement Therapist and a qualified teacher and counsellor.

My professional and personal arts and outdoor practice have led me to see strong connections between learning through the experience of art-making and outdoor adventure. Through art-making and outdoor experiences, one can learn to be healthy. This blog is an attempt to show some of the ways that can happen. Art-making and the outdoors are vehicles for adventure, they are both journeys of uncertain outcome, leading to exploration and expression, discovery and learning. The entries on movingspace.blog are made with this in mind and will reflect a personal and professional journey which over time can provide routes for readers to find their own paths art-making and outdoor adventure to find health and wellbeing, personally and professionally.
