My working history has three phases. In 1985 I started in outdoor learning with Outward Bound in the UK and USA. Then in 1998 I trained as dramatherapist and worked freelance in arts and health. Later, in 2008 I worked in health and social care with families and young people. I currently work with adults with learning disabilities.

Professionally I bring ideas and experiences from over 30 years work in the arts, health care and experiential and outdoor learning. I see most of my professional work as a form of experiential learning. Academically I bring science at degree level and arts and drama therapy at post graduate level. Artistically I bring my personal practice, which includes visual art, music and film making, dance, performance, walking art and new media art. I have always seen myself as an art maker rather than an artist. My arts practice was always used to promote and nurture my own curiosity and health, so sharing it in the public domain is a new and interesting thing.
